An interpretation of “smørøskje”, a bentwood box that traditionally was used for transportation or storing butter. By using the traditional craft of bending wood, the top and bottom gets its characteristic oval shape. The butter box is ornamented with geometrical motifs, inspired by traditional chip carving. Traditional wood carving has been further developed and replaced with modern technology.
